The butterfly symbolizes new beginnings and rebirths. Whatbetter way to celebrate the beginning of a new life togetherthan with the releasing of butterflies at your wedding. There isan old Indian legend that tells the story of why the butterflywas created. It is often read at butterfly releases as theguests make a wish and release their butterflies. ButterflyReleases are both magical and momentous. Every release is uniqueand special just as every wedding, every anniversary, everybirthday, and every moment of our life is unique and special.Each of us has been given a beautiful gift of life that we musttake the opportunity to experience and enjoy.

Butterflies can be released from the shipping envelopes theyarrive in, with every guest having their own butterfly or withonly the wedding party having their own release envelope. Youmay also choose to have a mass release with all of thebutterflies placed in one container. Either option is specialdepending on the effect you are trying to achieve.

Butterflies should only be released outside during daylighthours on a sunny or overcast (not rainy) day with a temperatureabove 60 degrees. The butterflies should be set free no laterthan two hours before sunset. This allows the butterflies timeto eat and find a hiding place for the night. Releases should beheld in areas protected from the wind or the butterflies willquickly disappear. A warm, sunny flower filled area or garden isbest. No matter how you choose to release your butterflies, abutterfly release is a beautiful, unusual, and exciting way tocelebrate your new life together.
